A few years ago, a group of Maine businesspeople tried to sue Gov. Janet Mills over her shutting down almost every business in Maine, (while Gov. DeSanctis in FL, kept his state wide open, and it thrived all the while.)
We at FTM wanted to sue Cumberland County for violating the Americans with Disability Act (ADA) and Judge Lance Walker rejected our complaint, see below. Just a reminder from a previous article where we pointed out that a DEAD U.S. District Court judge has a RESERVED handicap parking space behind the Federal Courthouse.
Whereas the numerous visitors to the Cumberland Courthouse that are disabled are forced to limp around the entire building, past the parking spaces provided for non-disabled law enforcement, to the check in, to get your body scan, to go to the courtrooms.
If we were a DEAD U.S. District Court Judge maybe, we could park in the handicap space at the corner of Newbury and Pearl Streets, behind the Federal Courthouse.
